How do I reclaim a lost item?
A: You may ask the bus driver or call our office regarding items lost on the school bus. Generally the drivers will hold lost items on the bus for a week while attempting to find the owner. If unclaimed the item(s) will be brought to our lost and found. The school bus driver, Central Iowa Transit, Inc. and the Ames Community School District are not responsible for personal items lost on the school bus
Can I be removed from getting text message alerts?
A: Below the sign-up for receiving text message alerts is a link to enter your name and phone number to unsubscibe (or change your number). If for some reason you are still receiving text message alerts, please contact us to ensure you are removed.
Why aren't all the routes shown on this site?
A: Laws regarding your child's safety prohibit us from publishing routes for children under the highschool age. Routes for younger children are posted at each school and can be viewed there.
I moved, how do I change my address and phone number?
A: Central Iowa Transit, Inc., must be notified a minimum of three full working days in advance that there will be a change to a permanent address. For more information on this, changing your phone number and setting up a temporary address, view our rules and procedures page.
